If you had more energy what would you do with it? Just imagine for a minute all the things you could enthusiastically accomplish with just a bit more energy.

We live in a fast-paced, non-stop world that leaves most of us tired, stressed, burnt out and reaching for an energy drink or something to get us into gear.  Here are 5 ways to garner more energy without taking more of our precious time.

#1: Eat Breakfast

Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up.  This will start your metabolism and start you off with the energy you need to get through the day.

#2: Practice Your Mental Fitness

Take 5 to 30 minutes before your day gets hectic to work on your mental fitness.  This can include praying, journaling, meditating, reading or sitting quietly to actually visualize the look and feel you want the day to have.

#3: Eat Systematically Throughout the Day

Eating every 3 to 4 hours will keep your metabolism going all day.  When the metabolism is going not only are you burning fat throughout the day, you are making sure you have more energy in your day.

#4: Supplement Your Diet

Take a daily multivitamin, antioxidant and omega 3-fatty-acid.  You will certainly boost your energy level with this recommendation.

#5: Go to Bed

As busy people, we know that finding time to sleep can be easier said to done.  This may be the hardest one of them all.  We must be willing to stop doing whatever we are doing (and lose the guilt about not getting everything done) and go to bed long before midnight.  It’s impossible do it all and we must stop trying.  Just go to sleep.  When you sleep your body will rejuvenate and your energy level will rise.

Please take these tips to heart and watch your energy increase.

[Editor’s Comments:  These are 5 common sense tips that should be easy for all of us to follow.  However, we can all agree they are easier said than done.

I often find myself forgetting to eat throughout the day and working too long at night.  Whenever I do, I always feel a little run-down and not quite as effective as I should be.

One thing I started doing was setting an alarm on my phone when it’s time to eat something.  This serves as a good reminder when I’m too focused on whatever task I’m working on at the moment.

What do you do…besides guzzling the coffee and Red Bull…to boost your energy levels during the day.  Leave us a Comment and let us know.]
